Kale and Brady are roommates, best friends and devoted comic book-lovers. As self-proclaimed ambassadors of super hero culture, they keep a watchful eye on the streets of their jaded city and endure the misadventures inherent in a life dedicated to the practice of the hero’s code. This unique ‘world view’ manifests it self in the implementation of classic character traits and plot elements derived directly from the legends of Superman and Batman, respectively. Together, these comic book powerhouses represent the image in which Kale, the Boy Scout, and Brady, the crusader, mold their lives. The former with his unnecessary prescription glasses, newspaper mailroom job and unusual vulnerability to guacamole and the latter with his eleven-year old sidekick and intense self-discipline, cruising around in a car that blends in with the night. Of course, exterior to a self-made world conditioned upon comic book-esc delusions of grandeur, these two oblivious and misplaced individuals fall extremely short of even the average and rational human being. But beneath their foolishness lie qualities of kindness and compassion and the never wavering desire to do what is necessary.
